Creation Hall and Insect Display & Greenhouse in Kita-Shinano Country Forest & Cultural Park
You can satisfy your endless curiosity for science by creating and studying in the Creation Hall. The Insect Display & Greenhouse is a best place for observing rare domestic and foreign plants and insects.

Nakayama Shinpei Memorial Hall
The carillon, placed in the entrance hall, plays a Shinpei melody to tell the time. The pictures, articles, and collections of children's songs by Nakayama Shinpei are displayed in this building with a modern interior. You can also enjoy his songs by video tapes.

Japan Clay Doll Museum
This museum is built in a style of azekura-zukuri, in which the sides of the building are made by placing triangularly cut logs across each other. In this building, standing on the hill with a picturesque view, clay dolls made in Nakano and 1500 other dolls made all over Japan, are displayed.

Nakano Quarters/ Prefectural Memorial Hall
This building was built in the Edo period (1603 - 1867), and has historical materials and art works of the Nakano prefectural office (which was established in 1870 and later abolished). It is also utilized as a place for the local citizens to present their own works as well as a place to socialize.

Nakano-shi Rekishi Minzoku Shiryokan (Nakano City History and Folk Custom Museum)
Archeological articles and everyday tools, which were excavated in the city, are made public in this facility. The west building of the old Nakano Elementary School in the Western style architecture of the Meiji period (1868 - 1912) is restored and exhibited. Next to the museum is the Shinshu Nakano Doseki Hanga Museum.
